Course offered : B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) in Indian Navy

 

The training is scheduled to commence in Jan 2017

Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for 4 year B.Tech course in applied Electronics and Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the India Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala. During the course, cadets will be allotted Executive or Engineering including Naval Architect specialization or Electrical Branch. On completion of the course, B.Tech degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The entire cost of training including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided will free clothing and messing.

 

Eligibility

 

i) Must be unmarried male candidates

ii) Born between 2 July 1997 and 1 Jan 2000 (both dates inclusive)

iii) Passed Senior Secondary (10+2 pattern) or equivalent with minimum 70% aggregate in PCM and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class x or Class XII)

iv) Physical standards as specified

 

Selection procedure

 

i) Candidates will be issued call letters based on their Class XII PCM marks or JEE Mains rank (as per candidate choice)

ii) Invited candidates have to appear in Service Selection Board interview to be held at Bangalore / Bhopal / Coimbatore / Vishakhapatnam during Aug – Oct 2016

iii) SSB interview will be conducted in two stages. Stage 1 test consists of Intelligence test, Picture perception test and Group discussion.  Stage 2 tests comprise of Psychological testing, Group testing and interview which will last for 4 days.
